FOLK VICTORIAN FARMHOUSE
Inspired by the timeless character of classic American Victorian farmhouses, this home was designed to feel both elegant and welcoming while embracing the rhythms of modern family living. The owners envisioned a house with historic presence and warmth — one that felt established within the landscape while providing bright, open spaces tailored to contemporary life.
The exterior composition draws heavily from traditional Victorian and farmhouse architecture, featuring steep gable rooflines, articulated massing, decorative trim details, and an expansive wraparound porch that anchors the home to the surrounding property. Deep overhangs, tapered columns, ornamental brackets, and carefully proportioned windows add texture, shadow, and depth to the elevations. A soft, historically inspired color palette and natural materials create a sense of timelessness and understated elegance.
Inside, the home balances traditional detailing with open, livable spaces. The public areas were designed to feel connected yet intimate, with long sightlines, layered millwork, and abundant natural light creating warmth throughout the interior. Exposed wood ceiling beams, custom built-ins, paneled walls, and detailed trim work reinforce the home’s handcrafted character while maintaining a clean and relaxed atmosphere.
